John Kerry is a Patriot
Posted by DavidNYCNo, really, I mean it. Check out the decal on the side of the New England Patriots' helmet and tell me that's not John Kerry in profile:
The NFL season begins tonight. Appropriately enough, the Super Bowl champion Patriots (who of course hail from Kerry's home state) play the first game. I'm a Jets fan, but I'll take this as a good omen anyway!

UPDATE: Once again, proving that sports are always right, the Pats won tonight. John Kerry's victory is clearly next.

Though I'm a regular Kos reader, I just backed into your site via other channels (love it when that happens).
Have you had a chance to rally Californians to the cause of their neighboring swing states, NV and AZ? I know more than a few Bay Area folks who are tired of shouting at the converted and could use a road trip. Maybe you could be a conduit for the Great NV/AZ Democratic Invitational, designed to bring roadtrippin' Californians to the right neighborhoods (with attitude checked at the door, of course).

Jon, it's a good thought, and one that's occurred to several worthy organizations. I encourage you to check out the links under "Swing State Activism," particularly Driving Votes and ACT. They both organize trips from non-swing states to swing states.

Game analysis over at my blog, Fester's Place. It was a damm good game and it is good to see that the karma is still with the Pats as they got the critical big plays made when they had to be made and the Colts could not do the same.
