Everything I see has Kerry up in most tossups. The margin ranges from 1%-10%, but all with Kerry up.

Do the early exit polls exclude early voting? If so, it is very good because we got some pretty early voting was strong for the Democrats.

Race 2004 says turnout in Gore precincts is running 4-8% higher than Bush precincts. Hispanic and African-American precincts are turning out in much greater number than expected.

Before we all start partying too hard tonight:
I would like to everyone here who took time to vote and especially those who have participated heavily in GOTV efforts. I wish I could have gotten out of Texas more this election year to help, but I couldn't.
Tonight is a special night and hopefully we will not see a repeat of the 2000 fiasco. It saddens me to see the GOP still trying to intimidate and suppress voters in OH, but hopefully tonight we will show the world that democracy still works. Some day we will need to teach the GOP that the way to keep our democracy is to allow all our citizens to vote.
Everyone have a nice night, and good luck Senator Kerry. Hopefully, we can call you President Kerry in January.

Kerry could still lose New Mexico possibly, but he's going to win every other battleground state. The futures markets are even bringing Colorado and Nevada into play.

"Happy days are here again....."
The moment I've been waiting for since nearly 4 years ago, the night Al Gore accepted the ruling of the SCOTUS, is almost upon us. I am looking forward to the Bush concession speech more than the Kerry victory speech. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

This thread is really making me feel MUCH better!!! If this is true, we should know very early in the evening that Kerry is our next president. Fingers crossed for a short, exhilerating evening!!!!

I just voted in New Jersey. Steady turnout. It didn't take long to vote though. I'm looking forward to this evening. The exit polling is looking good for Kerry.

Pepe;
We clashed a few times on this blog, but at this historic moment, I think it's time to come together and celebrate the victory we all so desperately wanted. Emotions drove alot of the comments made throughout the months, but I want to say that some of your analysis proved to be accurate and timely. Anyhow, enough sentimental sap. Everyone stay relatively sober and safe tonite. Put the Jack away, and break out the champagne!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While reading this board has certainly upped my spirits, I still think we should all be cautiously optimistic, even with these initial exit polls out. Still, I have the champagne in the freezer for safekeeping, and am keeping the cork opener close by ;)

Student Voters are lined up around the block at the University of Pittsburgh campus. The phrase "Vote or Die" is being tossed around a lot. My sister attends at Pitt and says the student body is extremely Kerry. Dems are voting!

Dear (Not) Sick of Pepe Anymore,
I agree, and despite the earlier clashes, we have always been on the same page with the same ultimate goal! Thanks just the same for your extending the olive branch! :-)
I have the champagne chilling and hope I can unpop it before midnight!
