OH-02: Rush Limbaugh Slanders Paul Hackett
Posted by DavidNYCRush Limbaugh, on air, called Paul Hackett a "staff puke." Repeatedly.
Paul Hackett served as a civil affairs officer in Iraq. Eleven civil affairs soldiers and marines have died in the Iraqi theater. What's more, Paul Hackett led marines in combat while in Iraq. And, it goes without saying, he faced deadly violence every day he was in the country.
Rush Limbaugh avoided military service thanks to a pilonidal cyst. Paul Hackett volunteered to serve, even though no one had asked him to.
Rush Limbaugh (to no one's surprise) joins the long list of Republicans who, rather than respect those who have honorably served in our nation's military (as should be expected), instead disgracefully spit upon them. How disgusting. What is wrong with these people?

It's long past time that the left and center-left people in this country start and sustain a campaign to take this bastard down.
He is a fraud and a liar. He is un-American, spreading hatred and division. He is a hypocrite.
It is an outrage that his show is part of Armed Forces Radio.

C'mon, David. This is the way Republicans support the troops!

"He is a fraud and a liar. He is un-American, spreading hatred and division. He is a hypocrite."
Did you actually manage to say that with a straight face?

So, in addition to having a penchant for pain pills, we now know that Limbaugh avoided the draft for having a hairy lower back and ass that led to a proclivity toward ingrown hairs, which, in effect, is what causes pilonidal cysts.
We all knew Lumpy was a pig. Now we know he dodged the draft because of a cyst in his asscheeks.
His resume just keeps getting better.

Ed Schultz, on Air America was all over the Limbaugh comments. He dedicated most of his show to Hackett and a bunch of the calls (including one from me) were Hackett-related.

Hackett was also a guest on The Young Turks yesterday. The entire interview is on their website (I'm pasting the link below), but to get the general idea he said at one point:
"The brotherhood, which Rush doesn't and will never belong to, but the brotherhood works like this. If you've put it out on the line, you've earned the right to criticize. But at the end of the day, the only people who've earned the right to criticize what the 4th Civil Affairs Group did are, first of all, other people wearing the digital uniform, which is the marine uniform, and it's a very select few who've earned the right to be so critical. And I can guarantee you that draft dodgers like Dick Cheney and Rush Limbaugh and Hannity if -- I don't know what his first name is -- you know, who had convenient excuses as to why they wouldn't serve their country, they don't even come close. To be honest, that's why I don't really get worked up about it, because everybody in the military kind of knows what a bunch of chuckle heads those guys are."
