TX-28: League of Conservation Voters Doing $50K Ad Buy in Laredo
Posted by DavidNYCSome sweet news straight from the campaign: The League of Conservation Voters - which endorsed Ciro Rodriguez last week - is putting its money where its mouth is. The LCV is putting up $50,000 worth of ads in the Laredo, TX television market. I am very excited to see another serious establishment player get involved in this race. And give Henry Cuellar's abysmal voting record on the environment, it only makes sense.
Of course, you can chip in, too: Contribute | Volunteer.

Is the $50k ad campaign insider info? I couldn't find any link to that on the lcv site.

I was told this information directly by the campaign.

Wow...outstanding!
Our OR-2 candidates are way behind the curve on funding. Hopefully groups like this will step up once the primary is over.

Well, you've got a lot more time in OR-2, since the main event is not until November. In TX-28, the primary is everything.

Proud of Ciro and the publicity of the Blogs. Picked up by the Traditional media it's made all the difference. Hope to have an interview, if the damn new equipment works right, soon at The Political Dogfight.

Um... is the campaign supposed to know (before the press and everyone else) about a $50k ad bought by an outside group? Hopefully I'm wrong, but I think they should at least let LCV be the ones to do the talking here.
