VA-Sen: Webb's Website is Up
Posted by DavidNYCGet ready for a season of non-stop bad Webb/web puns: James Webb's, uh, website is up. It's a start, but I think they need to start using Media Mezcla's Campaign Engine. All the cool sites are using it!

There are much better don't require buying a package. Sorry. Wait for a private email and I'll put you in touch with another company just getting ready to go into the public eye.

Campaign Engine is much cheaper than BSD.
As far as free packages that are better than what's out there, I'm very dubious.

Looks like this is just a temporary set-up. I sent an e-mail to Webb's webb-master (har har) and I got this reply:
"Thanks James. My name is Corey Hernandez and I am currently doing the campaign website. You’re right this is very bare bones at the moment. There will be some immediate improvements in the coming days and in the long run there are big plans and the site will soon be on par with the ones you suggested. Feel free to drop us some more suggestions.
Thanks,
Corey"

Bar none, I think http://www.articulatedman.com/ has the best and most well designed campaign sites. Very very nice looking and organized.

David: Never free. That's just BS in a marketing wrap. Just better...like never needing a webmaster.
Sorry I haven't gotten the email to you. I was out of town all day. Will tomorrow and arrange for a demo for you personally. A voter-centric system is very different indeed.

Media Mezcla is a good package for a reasonable price, although I might hire an independent designer. Doing software from scratch is probably a waste of money.
Mezcla is probably just about right for a Senate race. I'd honestly consider BSD if I was a House candidate, on the ballot every 2 years and running a perpetual campaign. The increased cost is worth it to have a top-notch set of software.
