I hate to say this, but can't we find a better candidate for Alaska's lone congressional seat than Frank Vondersaar? He seems kind of unhinged.

I'm a little worried about Allan Bense. Do you think he'll really enter the Florida senate race? May 12 can't arrive quickly enough!

Why can't Mike Gravel run for AK-AL instead of (gah) President?
As far as Allan Bense goes, while I don't like to make predictions, I do think there's a very good chance he'll jump in. However, it's not at all certain to me that he'd beat Harris. And even if he does, he'd have only 2 months for the general election vs. Nelson.
I'd say the biggest fear is that Bense gets in and Harris drops out. However, the scenario is not entirely a net negative for us. Bense's statewide name rec is low. Without a primary, he won't be given as much chance to increase it. And I imagine Nelson would try to Rose Garden him.

DISMAL turnout in my area of Ohio.
I have been making GOTV calls and one guy, who I happen to know personally, won't vote in a primary because he "can't give up his independent status."
So come this fall, he won't get to vote for the best candidates and will be stuck with what ODP gives us.

David, is there federal jurisdiction over members of a conspiracy based abroad who merely purposefully directed their activities towards the US?
