Five weeks ago today, DNC Chair and former one-term Virginia Governor Tim Kaine promised the DNC he’d announce his Virginia senate plans within a week (as reported by the AP’s Charles Babington).
Yes, Tim Kaine promised he wouldn’t run for Senate from Virgina. Of course, Tim Kaine also said he wouldn’t run for DNC Chair.

George Allen and Jamie Radtke should be shivering so much it looks like they’re doing the Monster Mash.
Yeah, he’s dumber.
He is qualified and has the means to run and win.
He also announced several days before the 1-week deadline that he’d need more time. And since then, there have been leaks that he is indeed going to run.
My guess: he needs the time to tie up loose ends at the DNC as he is the friggin’ chairman and he can’t just resign without making sure all of your ducks are in a row.
There’s whispers that Gov. Strickland is in consideration for next DNC chairma. I hope he is.
