MS-01: Greg Davis Campaign Strategy Revealed

From an anonymous tipster:

Step 1: We find the worst play ever written. Step 2: We hire the worst director in town. Step 3: We raise two million dollars…One for me, one for you. There’s a lot of little old ladies out there! Step 4: We hire the worst actors in New York and open on Broadway and before you can say Step 5, we close on Broadway, take our two million and go to Rio.

  1. It’s spring time for Tom Cole and GOP …

Starring John Boehner as Tom DeLay and Dick Cheney as Darth Vader.  Featuring Vito Fossella, Woody Jenkins, Greg Davis and Jim Oberweis with special guest appearances by Rick Renzi, Don Young, and Barbara Cubin.

“Renzi is downright eloquent when he flips Boehner the bird and winks at him.  And Fossella’s musical number where he admits both the mistress and the child is a joy.  ‘Springtime’ has to be the year’s funniest play.”

  2. I actually didn’t find this to be funny at all…I love the actual news that Swing State Project manages to dig up (often well before competitors).  In fact, you have been on a roll lately.  Let the Onion handle parody and satire…snarkiness doesn’t belong on this site, real news about progressive candidates and their progress during the election does.

  3. I kinda of agree with the one commenter that this is not really a snarky type of site and I do come here for the great analysis of congressional campaigns.  However, this was FUNNY and it fits into a very current topic.  When the results come in on tuesday, I will be thinking of this picture and this line from the Porducers.

Very good and keep up the good work.

  4. Usually SurveyUSA puts out a poll on special elections a couple days before the election.  Nothing on this one.

On the other hand I know the republicans did many internal polls on this race over the past few weeks and not one did they make public.  That would seem like good news for us.
