Jimmy McMillan Rocks!

Wow!  Jimmy McMillan is now my favorite 2010 candidate.  Here is a man who has his belief and sticks to it.  Plus he has a theme song.  Every candidate should have a theme song!

So here’s some questions – can voters vote a straight Rent is 2 Damn High Party ticket in New York?  Exactly what does it take to get a ballot line in New York, anyway?  And how well does he need to do to keep his party on the ballot next time?

I think every New Yorker who doesn’t like Cuomo and can’t stand Palladino should vote for Jimmy McMillan!

Rent is 2 Damn High is my thing,

Jimmy McMillan is my name,

VOTE FOR THE RENT IS 2 DAMN HIGH PARTY!

KY-Senate: Lunsford Goes There!

From the moment this race began to close I’ve been hoping that Lunsford would reprise McConnell’s classic “Bloodhound” ad.  Well, now he’s done it!  I’m afraid I don’t know how to embed videos, but it’s available on The Scorecard, which can be reached both through the Politico and RealClearPolitics.  Not only do they have the new Lunsford ad, but they also have a link to the original McConnell ad.

For those who don’t know it, McConnell’s initial win over Democratic incumbent Dee Huddleston was largely credited to an ad where bloodhounds were trying to find a Huddleston lookalike, based on the fact that he had missed a lot of votes in the Senate.  Now Lunsford has rolled out a parallel ad where the hounds are trying to find McConnell to get him to fess up to his real record in Washington.

I was living in Kentucky when McConnell ran the original ad.  What poetic justice if a revised version of that classic ad would help bring him down in 2008!

MT POTUS – Rasmussen Poll

OK, I know this isn’t a Presidential site, but I’ve been touting Montana all year as my “could be a super shocker flip special”.  I know polls taken this early are all but meaningless for predicting November results, but today’s Rasmussen poll showing Obama leading McCain 48%-43% in Montana is pretty much in the “Wow!” category.

LA Senate – Rasmussen Shows Toss-Up

Latest LA Senate poll from Rasumssen shows Landrieu with a narrow 47-44 lead over Kennedy.  Since this may be the first poll in this race from a major firm, it suggests that we’ll have a real fight on our hands for this one.  Guess those double digit lead polls actually were too good to be true.
