Disclaimer: I am not a Clinton supporter. This diary is not in support of Hillary Clinton, nor in opposition to Hillary Clinton. In my mind, Hillary, Obama, and Edwards all have a pretty good shot at being president. The reason I am writing about Hillary’s cabinet is that she has more well-established connections than the other two, which makes it easier to speculate who might be in her cabinet.
Who do you think will be in Hillary’s cabinet? My guesses below the fold.
VP: Evan Bayh
Secretary of State: Richard Holbrooke
Treasury: Gene Sperling
Defense: Diane Feinstein
Atty General: Janet Napolitano
Interior: Tom Vilsack
Agriculture: Ron Sparks
Labor: Richard Gephardt
Commerce: Charlene Barshefsky
Energy: Hilda Solis
Transportation: Ed Rendell
Education: Bob Miller
Veteran’s Affairs: Johnnie Wilson
Health and Human Services: Tammy Baldwin
HUD: Ron Dellums
Homeland Security: Bob Kerrey
Chief of Staff: Terry McAuliffe
Trade Rep: George Munoz
EPA: Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Director of National Intelligence: Robert Menendez
OMB: Joe Andrew
Drug Czar: Tom Siebel
National Security Advisor: Jane Harnan
Ambassador to the UN: Joe Wilson
Just some vague guesses. This is who I think might be picked, not who I necessarily think should be picked. What do you think?
kerrey as veep, midwestern roots, experience, war credentials. snowe (R-ME) as sec of education, or something. it’ll look bipartisan, and will give us her senate seat (it’s the only way we’ll get it).
snowe would probably be considered a dem anywhere outside of New England, or the west coast.
Ron Sparks her Secretary of Agriculture, then she will feel the full force of the wrath of the mighty Swing State Project!!!
If some of your predictions are right, I would puke. DiFi as SecDef? Kerrey at DHS? Majorly puketastic.
I wouldn’t mind seeing Specter and Snowe among the cabinet members at all. I’m not exactly up to date on what they hyave accomplished but I’m sure they could fit in there somewhere. I personally believe that the SoS will be Bill Richardson and that Wesley Clark would be the SoD. I’m not sure Napolitano and Sparks would accept cabinet positions. Napolitano is rumored to be running for the senate against McCain and Sparks clearly has an interest in going to the governorship and rumor has it, he will run for Lt. Gov in 2010 with the current Dem Lt. Gov, Folsom, running for Governor.
She better not pick him for VP, we can’t just be giving Senate seats away to the Republicans.
means PA Gov. Baker Knoll *shudder*
Or does anyone get the feeling that Kerrey opted not to run for Senate because Hillary promised him something…
here's the article, it's all speculation, but makes sense.

I really do not get the need for Evan Bayh to be the Vice President. He is a great man who can win in a red state, but he probably would not be able to pull Indiana over to the Democrats during the next election. Gov. Bill Richardson will be the Vice Presidential nominee for any of the candidates. His nomination is pure strategy: he is an extremely popular western governor and he is Hispanic. Hispanics and the west are going to be key for any democratic victory from now on.
