When Harold Ford, Jr. walked onto the Quick Center stage for his OPEN Visions forum he knew whose district he was standing in.
“There is not a better Congressman in Washington than Chris Shays,” said Ford, to a crowd of about 600 Fairfield University students and community members.
And James Carville was ready to foment a coup in order to install this asshat at the DNC. Ford is undermining one of the best Democratic House candidates this cycle, Jim Himes, as well as the party he claims to be a member of. He should be put on indefinite pariah status.

Why is Harold Ford stumping for Chris Shays in the first place? I hope we don’t see too much of this guy anymore.
Heck, I sometimes think Ford is just as bad of a politician as O.J. Simpson is as bad of a criminal.
I can’t stand Harold Ford. He is a DINO of the worst sort. Tom Schaller wisely pointed out after the 2006 election that the only major Democratic senate candidate who lost was the one who ran as Republican Lite. And, as we all know, when a Republican runs against a “republican,” the Republican always wins.
But, yes, he is an embarrassment, and should be cast out of the party for stumping for Chris Shays. And the fact that he is now the head of the DLC, speaks volumes about that spineless organization.
explanation, I’m baffled (and not just that he’s DLC, I mean a legit one as to why he would support a Republican).
This is nuts, I fully support the idea of him as a pariah, though I fear that Obama may give his a cozy appointment somewhere in he (Obama) wins.
And I’m still blinking my eyes to see if it’s real.
There are no words for this, other than hoping Ford will get to see lots of more of his BFF Shays come January 2009.
