  1. No way he’s going to be able to run for re-election and win in CT.

Republicans will lose in a landslide this time around.

Joe Lieberman runs for President in 2012 as a Republican as someone who can bring them back to the majority.

  2. My title was going to be slightly different though: I fuckin hate Lieberman.

He caucuses with Democrats, but is writing op-eds for a Republican Senator in a battle against a Democrat. It’s already bad enough that he has endorsed the other party’s ticket for president (mind you after being the Democratic VP nominee only 8 years ago), that he spoke at the RNC convention, and NOW he’s speaking out for Senator Coleman?

It’s absofuckinlutely rediculous! His chairmanship is to be stripped, no question. Previously I said he can continue to caucus if he wants to, but NO MORE. I don’t want him at policy luncheons, I don’t want him having plum committees posts, and I don’t give a shit what he does.

I don’t care if we win 9 Senate seats to get to a 60 seat majority – he gets kicked out and we have 59 seats and will find moderate GOP senators like Snowe and Spector for cloture.

The state of Connecticut should hold a recall election or find some way to get his ass out of there. I don’t care if the Republican Governor appoints someone and there needs to be a special election in 2010.

  3. He probably sees the writing on the wall and is trying to get in nice with the Republicans, after all, there is no way the Democrats were going to let him keep his committee chairmanship after the shit he’s pulled. He also knows that the Dems will target him hard in 2012, and we’ll actually get a good Democrat (another Dodd would be excellent).
