FL-PRES
McCain (R) 49%
Obama (D) 47%
No, this isn’t really a bounce for McCain. The reason for the big shift is the internals.
Rep – 44%
Dem – 40%
The true voter breakdown is roughly the opposite of those numbers.
FL Black Vote:
McCain (R) 22%
Obama (D) 75%
22% Haha, yeah right…
SUSA, you fail.
In their poll for OH, ABC/WaPo specifically noted that they oversampled blacks in order to get a MoE for race similiar to the MoE for their overall poll. The result? O99-M0-Un1.
who isn’t going to dismiss this poll out of hand.
Florida is particularly tricky to poll. I don’t think Black/White/Hispanic/Other really covers the ethnic diversity of the state. If you’re hispanic and back, how do you self-identify for this poll? It’s no clear, and I wish SUSA would make some clearer distinctions for this state.
SUSA has consistently shown less black support for Obama than anywhere else, and I think there’s got to be a reason for that.
And frankly, a 4 pt GOP ID advantage could be right there, even in this political climate.
