What have you got?

This really might be our year in Wyoming! With 2 senate races and a at large house we might be seing a Democratic swift in this state. We came close to taking the house seat in 2006 so we might have a big chance at taking it in 2008. Any thoughts.
For local, state or federal office, then refer them here: http://www.americaso…
So we can get them on our site and route volunteers to their campaign.
She won 55.45%-44.55%. I was hoping for a wider margin. She had all the money, all the name ID, all the momentum, and all the issues to make a city function. Roy Morales had immigrant bashing. For it to be this close with everything Melissa had going for her, it is a little worrysome. I was hoping for something closer to 60-40.
I made a chart compiling all the incumbents in 2006 who got under 60%. While reviewing just now I saw several that made great collapses (the percentage of their total minus the total of second place) from 2004 to 2006. We have hit on several of these big ones, Such as Young (AK-AL) lost 31 points (the biggest collapse), Renzi (AZ-1) lost 16 points, Doolittle (CA-4) lost 27 points, Kirk (IL-10) lost 22 points, Pryce (OH-15) lost 18 points. But there are a few major collapses that we never talk about. These are:
Bono (CA-45) lost 16 points (she won 59-41)
Castle (DE-AL) lost 18 points (he won 57-39)
Weldon (FL-15) lost 18 points (he won 56-44)
Souder (IN-03) LOST 30 POINTS (he won 54-46)
Lewis (KY-02) lost 26 points (he won 55-45)
Bartlett (MD-06) lost 17 points (he won 59-39)
Gilmor (OH-05) lost 20 points (he won 57-43)
Add in to this the major losses by those that were unopposed in 2004
AZ-03 (Shadegg), FL-21, 24, 25 (both Diaz-Balarts and Feeney), NY-25 (Walsh), and TX-10 (McCaul) we had some major movement.
Has anyone heard anything about these districts (outside of TX-10 since it is the post below this open thread)? I’m specifically looking at info for IN-03 seeing as though Souder had the second worst drop in this data chart.
State Senator and Air Force reserve pilot (Major) John Boccieri has launched his campaign. The Ohio Daily Blog has great coverage.
they can win MA-05, and that is nearly as Democratic as GA-10 is Republican. It is D+11
Also look at the Wal-Street journal poll that shows 28% approval for President and Republican Party. If Marlow makes the runoff, we should show some love.
I’m pretty shocked by the lack of attention that the GA-10 special election is getting – the election is this Tuesday and I’ve barely heard a peep about it anywhere. Sure it’s a very uphill battle, but that didn’t stop Francine Busby from getting mentioned everyday on the front page of Kos, MyDD, and SSP…how about a little love for James Marlow?
Tonight I went to a fundraiser for the YearlyKos Convention featuring Eleanor Holmes Norton (talking about the bill to give DC a seat in the House) and candidates Donna Edwards (MD-04), Andrew Duck (MD-06), and Corbett Kroehler (FL-08). Photos here.
Thomas Ravenel, the GOP State Treasurer, rising GOP star in SC, and state Chair of Rudy Guiliani’s Presidential campaign was indicted on federal cocaine charges today stemming from 2005.
Wonder if Ravenel’s mob connection is Bernard Kerick?
He shouldn’t be chairing Rudy’s SC campaign, he should be running against Graham! he’s just the type of law abiding redpublican the party represents these days.
Grace Napolitano is perhaps the least impressive, most uninspiring, and the biggest herd follower in the Hispanic Caucus. She is the only female member to back Joe Baca in the recent sexism dust up with Loretta Sanchez. While her record per say does not demand a primary challenge, if one appears it does warrant mulling over the prospect of opposing Napolitano in th primary.
The reason I bring this all up is apparently Stockton Mayor Edward Chavez is eyeing Napolitano’s Congressional seat in a primary challenge.
I do know that for some time now Napolitano has been on my uninspiring lists of Democrats in the House. What I do not have a good grasp of yet is where Edward Chavez fits on an ideological scale.
Anyone know anything about Stockton California Mayor Edward Chavez?
