While it may not even be 2008 yet, here’s a sampling of some of the congressional campaign ads currently on the air across the nation:
NY-20: Sandy Treadwell (R) |
IL-14: Bill Foster (D) |
OH-05: Robin Weirauch (D) |
IL-10: Jay Footlik (D) |
Any other ads that we missed? Feel free to post ’em in the comments.
I don’t expect Jay Footlik to be the Democratic nominee for IL-10. If you look at the 3Q fundraising reports, Footlik raised 193K while Seals raised 301K. Since Seals ran in 2006, I would give him the edge in the primary if they were equal dollar for dollar.
That’s quite the dorky-cute ad.
Jay outraised Seals in the second quarter, an astounding feat for a first time candidate, and at the end of the third they were close with cash on hand.
As Democrats here get to know Jay with his substance and credentials compared to Seals message equating Mark Kirk to the departing George Bush, the voters will see the difference and nominate Jay. He has more than enough money to compete.
And, Jay’s first commercial was pretty good too (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlJ7U4uyF5g).
Dan has worked as a civilian in Bosnia, Kosovo, Afghaqnistan and Iraq. His website is http://www.dangrantforcongress.com, and here is the commercial:
