I donated to Jim Himes (CT-04), Gary Peters (MI-09), Andrew Rice (OK-Sen), and Mark Begich (AK-Sen). How about you?

Debbie Cook, Vic Wulsin, Scott Kleeb, Darcy Burner, Gary Trauner, Charlie Brown and other candidates on A Siegel’s Energy Smart page or recommended by Howie Klein.
The first five are candidates who I’ve met, and they are all amazing people. For the others, I have to take the advice of people who I trust implicitly. I’ve been burned too many times by donations to people like Space, Herseth, et cetera who don’t support the Constitution.
Not counting him, I donated to Scott Klebb (NE-Sen), Andrew Rice (OK-Sen), Mark Begich (AK-Sen), and Glenn Nye (VA-02).
and some local candidates.
I started donating every month to Franken, and then gave to Obama.
Jeff Merkley (OR-Sen), Harry Teague (NM-02), Paul Carmouche (LA-04), Glen Nye (VA-02)
Can’t wait for numbers to come out.
I’ve given $750 to Kay Hagen, $500 to Obama, and $500 each to the DSCC and the DCCC. This was a big time up for me – my previous political giving was $500 to Kerry in 2004 and $500 to the DCCC in 2006. Obviously, something has me excited this year!
Obama
Childers
All the Candidates on the Orange-to-Blue List
And I had already donated to Schauer, Peters, and a few others this cycle.
Begich, Allen, Kleeb, Rice, Merkley, Noriega and 12 House challengers, most to Wulsin, Bennett, Perriello, Feder and Burner. Also to Childers and a couple who lost their primaries. Last quarter was mostly Obama, but all Congress in Q2.
Earl Giddens (HD-34) and John Tibbetts (HD-153)
NY state senate candidate Jimmy Dahroug (but that was before Brian Foley entered the race; it was also literally a day before Chris Bodkin dropped out, possibly even the same night). I also donated to Chris Dodd to thank him for his various progressive initiatives on the Senate floor, with the money applied to retiring the debt from his abortive campaign for the presidency. There might have been a couple of others, but they aren’t coming back to me at the moment. I also have a DemCard with a 2.9% introductory APR, which apparently gives the profits from any interest I pay on balance transfers and purchases to the Michigan state Democratic Party, even though that’s not my state’s party (but they could use it more than almost anyone of the states carried by both Gore and Kerry, so I don’t exactly mind…).
Only able to give to 1 person this quarter, $25 to Tom Rooney down in Florida running to unseat Congressman Mahoney in Florida. but in the past I have given to Dave Reichert, Norm Coleman, Duncan Hunter (Jr), and Mitt Romney (before he dropped out). Next month I plan to give to Dino Rossi.
Gary Peters
Money’s tight.
This is only the second time I’ve donated to a politician, the first time being to Kerry in 04.
Limited budget so I only kept my donations to my district.
Did all of them via the Orange to Blue page.
Eric Massa
Al Franken
Darcy Burner
Joe Garcia
Scott Kleeb
Gary Trauner
Andrew Rice
Mark Begich
Rick Noriega
Charlie Brown
And drat, I completely forgot about Debbie Cook! She needs to get added to the Orange to Blue page.
I maxed out to Kleeb (NE Sen) and Kratovil (MD-1). Both can win and are the combination of charismatic policy wonk and better Democrat that will fight for the constitution that I am happy to support.
I also gave $1500 to Slattery (KS Sen) because Pat Roberts helped provide political cover to those who committed treason by outing a CIA officer.
I have done my part. Now its time for the DSCC and DCCC to step up.
House: Ashwin Madia (MN-03), Michael McMahon (NY-13), Scott Harper (IL-13), Dennis Shulman (NJ-05), Childers (MS special election), Dan Maffei (NY-25), Steve Israel (NY-02), Tim Mahoney (FL-16), Joe Courtney (CT-02).
Senate: Shaheen (NH), Merkley (OR), Rice (OK).
Glad to see those contributions to Trauner (WY). Got to chat with him at length this past winter; he is terrific.
I would never donate to Peters. Nancy Skinner performed well in 06 and deserved a shot in 08 with more money. She won a DFA grassroots competition. Then Peters, the Michael McMahon of Michigan smelled blood and the powers that be forced her out.
They tried doing that with Steve Harrison and tried coronating McMahon, but Harrison is staying in the race.
You guys previously asked me why I bother posting on an antagonistic website that is visited by very few potential voters. The fact that you discuss which out of your personal district candidates you donate to make shtis blog important. If you want NY 13 to be represented by a real Democrat, who was an early responsible plan to get out of Iraq sponsor, who favors Universal Single Payer Healthcare and a space program like devotion of capital and human resources to energy independence give to Steve Harrison, http://www.actblue.com/entity/…
If you want candidate who believes in the ideals of the conservative party http://www.politico.com/news/s… by all means donate to Michael McMahon.
