DCCC Hauling Ass, NRCC Still in the Red

The DCCC and the NRCC have filed their monthly financial reports with the FEC, and the news is still bleak for House Republicans. The GOP must like their favorite color quite a bit, because their House committee is still stuck in the red:

Committee Raised Spent Cash on Hand Debt
DCCC $4.1M $3.2M $29.2M $2.1M
NRCC $3.6M $2.6M $2.6M $3.6M

Jon Singer over at MyDD has more numbers, including the 2-to-1 cash-on-hand edge that the DSCC is enjoying over the NRSC.

  1. For the NRCC. Still a truly monster CoH disadvantage. And Rahm, Pelosi, Van Hollen et al. probably have not even begun to fully lean on the caucus to chalk up their dues.

    1. So we’re missing one set of numbers. The Federal Election Commission only reports the three, so that’s what the much-maligned stenographic mainstream media reports.

Ummn. Why would a Repub-controlled agency neglect to report the one fund-raising arm of the Rep Party that has been piling up the dough?

Sad to say, last time I saw figures, the Repub Governors Association was millions ahead of the Democratic GA. Well, maybe they spent it all in LA and KY. But until someone who knows their way around the stats better than I do can find the RGA and DGA money disclosures, we just don’t know, do we?

  2. is better than 2 million in debt, I guess.

Must be strange for the GOP to look into the piggy bank and actually be able to see the glass at the bottom, realize that it is just as empty as it was last month, look at the charts and see all of those endangered districts, and say, hmmmm, where are all the fatcats who pulled us through in 2004?

Wonder how many of those GOP money crunchers are starting to drink.

Now you watch, once the primaries hit the road, the DCCC and the DNCC will will start raking the dough in like a baker at christmas.

And the GOP knows that, without money, you cannot win, especially in states where towering DEM senate challengers like Warner and Udall and Udall 🙂 will have long coattails also for congressional candidates and maybe even help the first female presidential candidate win.

  3. The Repubs actually outraised us last month. Of course, the GOP has traditionally always outraised the Dems, so this alone is not cause for worry. And the RNC’s lead over the DNC is cancelled out (and then some, probably) by the fact that Dem presidential candidates have vastly outraised their GOP counterparts.
