Assuming that the GOP now wins North Dakota and the Dems hold Connecticut, this is not a great trade. Dorgan and Simmons is a better deal for the Dems than Blumenthal and whomever the GOP winner is in North Dakota.

so I am sorry it came to this, but this is good news for us. We have a better shot of holding the seat now (same is true about the news out of Michigan and Colorado). Now, we got bad news when Dorgan announced his retirement, but the other three should benefit us. Anyone have a good idea on how progressive a Senator the AG will be.
