With all his problems lately, it appears unlikely that Congressman Wu will be able to survive another term. With that considered, here is a list of those in both parties who may run to succeed him if he resigns or retires.
Democrats:
Senator Mark Hass
Senator Suzanne Bonamici
State BOLI (Bureau of Labor and Industries)Commish and former Senator Brad Avakian.
Former State Sen. and Oregon Business Association head Ryan Deckert
State Rep. Tobias Read
State Rep. Debbie Boone
Fmr. State Rep. Larry Galizio
Washington County Commish Dick Schouten
Fmr. WAco Commish Desari Strader
Republicans:
State Sen. Bruce Starr
2010 Candidate and businessman Rob Cornilles
Any other potential candidates?
The Legislature will want to shore up Kurt Shrader, so they may throw Wu under the bus with a D+2 or D+1 district in order to force him to retire or to lose in a primary.
are, probably, too conservative for this Democratic-leaning (at least) suburban moderate (at least) district. The best candidates in such districts are, usually, moderate-liberal Democrats on democratic side (of which there are plenty) and very moderate Republicans on other side. But, after dilligent efforts of Bill Sizemore & Co., there are almost no such republicans in 1st district (especially on electoral posts)

In a revote scenario, Cornilles would beat Wu 41/33. 1/4 of Ds are undecided, which would more than make up the difference.
aka if Ds abandon Wu, he’s toast. To me, it feels like Ds in the district are currently undecided. Data comes from the poll and from what I hear of the response in Washington county (the heart of OR-01)
(Washington Co response based on the BlueOregon Twitter feed from his meeting there yesterday).
