Pimp Your Blog (or your Twitter feed)

(Bumped – promoted by DavidNYC)

Do you write about politics (or any other topics) at a blog of your own? Do you jabber about elections on Twitter? Take the chance to pimp either or both in this thread – let fellow Swing Staters know all about your other digital homes!

  1. Carden’s Capitol Corner: http://thelittlerebellion.com/… – a weekly column for my college’s online news publication. All New York-related. I’ve also contributed stories on the state budget for the site.

Politics by Beast: http://polibeast.blogspot.com/ – this has been defunct since January (when I returned to college), but I may re-launch it during the summer. I’ve contributed to this for years now.

    And, of course, Twiiter: http://twitter.com/polibeast

  2. I’ve contemplated working on a site focusing primarily on Indiana politics, but to do that justice I’d have to do a lot more work than I care to.

A year or so ago a good friend of mine wanted to start a site focused on PC gaming (yeah, that’s not a subject that’s already being written about at all), but I bailed on that project in its infancy. Too lazy. Or scared. Something!

  3. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m the treasurer of Students for a New American Politics. We’re a student-run political action committee that endorses progressive candidates and hires college students to spend the summer working as field organizers on their campaigns. It’s a great way of giving students a way to break into progressive politics, since not every 19-year-old can take a summer off from earning money to work on campaigns.

In the last couple months we’ve just started to take our blog seriously and post every day. We’re trying to focus on students and electoral politics; I’ve had a surprisingly hard time finding other progressive blogs on that topic. The link is in my signature, so check it out!

  4. Alas, I have the concentration of a fruit fly at the end of its life! Still, I’ve been trying to re-make my projections for senate and hope to have a write up on my site.

  5. But I have to encourage folks to check out ColoradoPols.com, which is by far the best site in CO for keeping up with the goings-on in the state.

Keeps me sane while I’m out here in CA watching things from afar. Definitely a liberal bent, though, as a disclaimer for our friends on the right, but with a decent chunk of righty writers.

  6. Though getting a bit tired of Taegan’s kneejerk reactions to certain stories. Great resource though.
