Weekly Open Thread: What Races Are You Interested In?

What’s burning in your blood?

Under the fold below, I’ve included a poll question that should yield some interesting results: “When did you start reading the Swing State Project?”

Weekly Open Thread: What Races Are You Interested In?

Is anyone here planning on attending Netroots Nation in Austin next month? I wasn’t able to attend Yearly Kos in 2006 or 2007, but I’ll be there this year. In fact, I’ll be joining SSP blogfather DavidNYC, MyDD’s Jonathan Singer, and Brownsox & Markos of Daily Kos for a panel discussion on this year’s House and Senate races. Details are available here. It should be fun!

If you find yourself in Austin next month, be sure to say hello!

Weekly Open Thread: What Congressional District Do You Live In?

Let’s try something different: In comments, tell us what congressional district you live in. While you’re at it, why don’t you describe the district for us, too. And if you don’t live in a U.S. congressional district, tell us about whatever legislative district(s) you do live in.

UPDATE: This has been a super-fun thread so far. To kick it up a notch, I’ve created a Frappr map for SSP community members. This will give us a visual representation of where everyone lives. You can click below to add your location (nothing more specific than a town name or ZIP code is used). Go for it!

Remember, SSP will be live-blogging the MS-01 election results on Tuesday night. Polls close at 7pm 8pm Eastern time. If you haven’t yet signed up to do some virtual phonebanking, now is your chance!

Update (James): Russ Feingold’s PAC is itching to give away $5000 to one of 10 lucky House candidates.  Feel free to cast your informed vote to determine who gets a piece of Feingold’s booty.
