Analysis of my home district, MN-6

DAMN IT!

I forgot to check draft.

Consider that a taste.  And maybe a very long savory taste because I have no idea how close I am to done, Im sure Ill think up more things to look at by the time I look at the other stuff.  I was just testing how the first maps looked because I dont want to get everything done and then see my maps screw up the formatting and then Id have to redo them.

  1. Unfortunantly I think Bachmann is safe this cycle but come 2012 redistricting…..

For those who dont know Bachmann lives in Woodbury, in the far lower right corner of the map, far from the conservative base of her district. It would be so easy to throw her in against either Rep John Kline in a slightly less Republican district or against Dem Betty McCollum in the heavily Democratic district based in St Paul.

  2. would just move. Personally, I’m much more interested in getting rid of Kline or Paulsen anyway. Both of them have similar voting records to Bachmann, but are much more socially practical (i.e. they hide their crazy).

I’ve never understood why liberals exert so much energy trying to get rid of fools like Bachmann. Let her be the spokesperson for the opposition. Her over-ambition will run its course in due time anyway.

  3. What would be interesting in addition is a comparison map between the Obama/McCain and the Tinkelnberg/Bachmann numbers to see where Bachmann underperformed most.
