Hi,
Dave’s Redistricting now has 49 states with 2010 data (all but Alaska). New ones (with block groups) are OR, KY, MT, RI.
Also, I added data from the 2010 Senate election in WA state. Someone sent me the raw spreadsheet and it was a bit of work, but I matched it up.
DRA made it into the news again in an article about VA redistricting.
It doesn’t sound like citizens were top priority here. [Note: I’ve had trouble publishing this text; I keep getting errors from SSP.]
Barker downloaded Dave’s Redistricting software from the Internet and got to work. The latest population numbers didn’t come out until February, but he began getting familiar with the state using 2008 estimates.

Of Nevada election data coming online to DRA soon? It would make my life so much easier.
Otherwise, thanks for all the new goodies in your app.

Sure hope you figured a way to make a dime or two off this project.
this is awesome, especially the partisan data for WA. Very much appreciated!
You have done an amazing job with this. I too hope you can make a dime (or two) off all of this work.
Just one question. Is there any way to use the Senate data to color the map, because it shows up all white due to not having Obama data.
for Suffolk County, NY, the lasso tool only works for a thin strip of precincts in the western part of the county. for the rest of the county, you can only color it manually.
I don’t really understand what’s going on, I don’t have experience with Silverlight.
The loading animation is going to 100% and then this blue circle just keeps spinning and nothing happens. Cleared my cache, didn’t help.
when you’re selecting which set of data to use for WA State, the 2000 voting districts one says that 2008 election data is in, which it isn’t. Not really a big deal I guess, but it got me excited for a second 🙂
have smaller block groups yet?
